Note: x^2 + 2x – 3 = 0 is the same thing as:  x^2 + 2x – 3 = y for purposes of finding out the vertex…okay?

umm, for #8 when I tried to graph it, I ended with one solution and a different one for the vertex. if there’s only one solution, isn’t it suppossed to be the same as the vertex?
